Students should come to the academy in comfortable clothing and supportive athletic footwear that allows free movement. Students should come prepared for challenging mental and physical activity, bringing ample supplies to ensure their wellbeing, such as:
- allergy or other prescribed medications
- orthodics or other joint or muscle supportive protection
- water or other hydration beverages with electrolytes
- snacks or energy bars
- an extra set of dry clothes to change into
- a notebook: to record lessons learned, homework, etc.
Students should notify the instructors of any health concerns that may affect their participation in the class. The instructors will work one-on-one with the students to modify movement to better match the students’ needs. It is up to the student to communicate his/her limitations and ultimately decide on his/her level of participation.
