Urban Artistry Show is a live broadcast that presents a global perspective on urban dance culture from various music and movement communities. Each week viewers from around the world will be exposed to youth and adults that have been shaped and influenced by urban dance. Did you ever wonder what happened to the Wop? Do you want to learn the latest dances before your friends? This is your chance to interact with DJs, musicians, visual artists, dancers and educators who continue to move and shake the culture that is dance.

Awards for Urban Artistry

• Dance Metro DC Award 2009: Urban Artistry was awarded “Best Emerging Performer or Group” for their performance, “TIME TO COME HOME: A Tribute” during the Kwanzaa Festival with Coyaba Dance Theater.
• Dance Metro DC Award 2010: Urban Artistry was awarded “Best Costume” for “Digital Funk 5002.” Directed by Rashaad Pearson, costumes designed by Reed Griffith, LaTasha barnes, Reed Griffith & Russell Campbell.
